Going Emerald!

School: Kersley Elementary School

Votes Received: 16

This year, in cooperation with the SEEDS GREEN schools program, we are attempting to finish 500 environmental projects to achieve EMERALD status. We started the GREEN schools program in September 2006, and have achieved Green (100 projects) and Jade (250 projects). This goal has helped instill in the students and staff at Kersley that we all can help make our school greener. We have recycled over 36,000 cans and bottles, lights in the hallway are out during teaching time, and we recycle cardboard, paper, plastic, metal cans, and ink cartridges.
