McLeod & Pouce Coupe Challenge

Light Up the World One School at a Time

School: McLeod Elementary

Votes Received: 52

McLeod and Pouce Coupe Elementary entered into an energy challenge, a challenge to reduce electricity consumption by 5%. The school that reduces their energy consumption the most, would receive bragging rights. As part of this project students were tasked with getting the word out in their school and community, to stop wasting electricity. Students were also tasked with measuring how much electricity popular appliances used within the school. Students engaged all of their 21st century skills to find ways to reduce electricity consumption. They changed attitudes at school, home and in their community.
