Youth4Tap: Our first step toward a bottled water free community

School: Sir Winston Churchill Secondary

Votes Received: 749

At Churchill Youth4Tap, our goal is to reduce the consumption of bottled water while promoting tap water. In only six months, our team has implemented a ban on the sales of bottled water and fundraised enough money to purchase two $4000 water refill stations. To promote awareness, we made presentations to 2100 students, sold reusable water bottles, and over 150 students have signed our Tap Water Pledge. Our story has been featured on the VSB website and in the Vancouver Courier. We are working with five high schools to support their water initiatives. Our dream is to make the VSB a bottled water-free district! Support Youth4Tap and join our movement!
