Eco Change Agents - Division Six

Change Makers!

School: W D Ferris Elementary

Votes Received: 16

Division Six is amazingly keen group of diverse learners who were challenged by their teacher to be environmental change agents in the school. This year we actively worked on reducing the number of parents driving their children to school. We also wrote and performed "The Story of Salmon", a play about their life cycle and the challenges and predators that they face. In this play we also wanted to recognize the Musqueam people on whose land that we live and work upon. My students continued the tradition of looking after being the environmental leaders in the school. They recycled, gardened, salmon sat and participated in Environmental themed field studies during school and even after. Thanks for making a difference to Ferris Div. 6!! Mr. Lyseng ;-)
